Masafumi Ishikawa Designs the World Clock for Desks

— September 25, 2023 — Art & Design
Masafumi Ishikawa designed the World clock, which is a minimally designed analog clock that allows users to check the time throughout the world. Visually, it appears to be a classic shelf clock but it has a dodecagonal shape and a simplistic face.

This is intensional as it only provides the correct information about the time throughout the world with a quick look. It showcases the hour immediately and with a closer look, it displays which quarter of the hour the time is in. There are no screens or complicated fixtures. The clock clues into other timezones with a single action of rolling the clock on the side to highlight the city of the timezone pointing straight upwards.
